A note from Emily...
I have studied the issue of human trafficking for five years but my specific interest is in the area of sexual trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. I graduated in May of 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Ferris State University, Big Rapids Michigan. I am awaiting acceptance into Western Michigan University to begin my Master's degree, also in Social Work.
For my senior B.S.W internship I was honored to work with the Manasseh Project of Grand Rapids Michigan, working directly with survivors of sexual trafficking as well as assisting the director with community education.
My passion is to get communities, and specifically churches, involved in this huge social justice issue. I love sharing information and helping people get involved. I am excited to see what God has planned for me in this area in the future! - Emily Jones
